French is the shared language in which members here express their faith and their hope of marriage, so intentions can be spoken plainly rather than guessed at. Whether writing from Bamako or from further afield, those who join do so with the same serious purpose in view.

Some members choose to look outward as well, exchanging messages with believers in Côte d'Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Benin, Cape Verde or Gambia. Sharing a language across the region makes such correspondence possible, letting each person say honestly what they are seeking in a future spouse.
